OPEN WATER diver

Consists of 3 phases. Will allow you to dive independently to 12 mts/ 40 feet.

  1. KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT/ WRITTEN KNOWLEDGE: Creates a foundation for the basics of diving. Can be done online or in person with us at the dive shop.
  2. SHALLOW WATER DIVES: Practice what you learned in knowledge development at our pier protected shallows area in our house reef. Instructed and supervised.
  3. OPEN WATER TRAINING DIVES: Take what you learned in the shallows to the open water. Once approved by your instructor, you will be certified as a PADI open water diver.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER

Build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different adventure dives. PADI requires 2 specific dives, listed below. The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

REQUIRED DIVES

  1. DEEP ADVENTURE DIVE: Learn how to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba dives.
  2. UNDERWATER NAVIGATION ADVENTURE DIVE:  Refine your compass navigation skills and learn to better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

DISCOVERY OF SCUBA DIVING

Discovery of Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction that allows someone to experience what diving is like. It is not a scuba certification course, but is a good way to see and explore the underwater world under the supervision of a qualified scuba diving professional. With this 3 hour course you will get a briefing, learn basic scuba diving skills, and then have a fun swim exploring a safe dive site.

REFRESH

RESCUE DIVER

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

  • Self rescue
  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Rescuing panicked divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers
